Perfectly timed for Year 2’s Science work about animal habitats, the school had a visitor yesterday afternoon. During the morning, ‘Toady’ was found lurking under some outdoor nursery equipment. After being carefully captured, Year 2 made observations and discussed where to release it to ensure its new habitat provided the necessary food source, shelter and security. Deciding that a damp overgrown area beside the bug hotel in the garden was best, Year 2 released Toady and discussed what other wildlife might be found in the part urban, part woodland habitat.
Farewell Toady.
