Having learnt about habitats and food chains as part of their Science work, Year 2 spent time this afternoon exploring Saunders Meadow and the School gardens looking at micro habitats. The children explored lawns; lifted rocks and logs; and observed tree bark in the hunt for mini beasts and other evidence of living things. Even the most squeamish got stuck in, finding slugs, ants, spiders, eggs, millipedes, beetles, bees and much much more.
