An excellent ISI report, an REQM gold award and now Highly Commended in the Muddy Stilettos School Awards 2023 in the Giving Something Back category.

Our 70 Good Deeds in support of the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee were deemed worthy of recognition. Mr Mobbs said, ‘I am very proud that St Michael’s has been commended for this initiative. Well done to all the children who worked so hard to give back to the community under the guidance and support of our wonderful teaching team.’

Harry (Year 6) has already been in the School’s headlines for being chosen to represent along with others, the voice of primary school children at the Children’s Parliament’s first Select Committee that focused on water management and sustainability.

He is not only in our headlines again but the Daily Express’s too and for an even bigger accolade – being made the first interim PM of the Children’s Parliament!

He is chuffed to bits as are we, and we’ll be interviewing him for our end-of-term newsletter to find out what he’ll be up to. For now, we know he is off to the House of Lords in a few weeks’ time – go Harry!

Mr Mobbs said when hearing the news, “A huge well done to Harry. I and everyone from St Michael’s, sincerely share pride in his achievements and wish him a great experience as PM.”

Calling all pre-loved children’s books – we are having a ‘Drop off your old children’s books day’ on Tuesday 21st June.

Our Librarian Miss Hatton is working with the amazing Jacqson Diego Story Emporium located close to the Palace Theatre to collect books for the charity Children’s Book Project to provide books to children who need them most. www.childrensbookproject.co.uk

Please bring your old books to school on Tuesday and leave them on the drop-off table which will be positioned outside the school and we will take them to the bookshop.
