Hot off the press, the Year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby team made it through to the semi-finals of the Southend borough play-offs today, the first time in the competition’s history. Miss Fox and her PE team were immensely proud of how the team played. True teamwork in every sense of the word. Onwards and upwards!!

We are racing towards the end of term but before we do, we had a wonderful Pre-Prep Celebration on Wednesday followed on Thursday by our Prep Thanksgiving and Prizegiving Celebration. Both of these celebrations have been so sorely missed over the last few years as they demonstrate the true spirit of our school and what makes St Michael’s so unique (photos and videos have been uploaded to the Whole Google Classroom).
Meanwhile, this morning we welcomed our new parents and children starting school this September, to a successful SMSA coffee morning. This was quickly followed by the fantastic news that our Pre-Prep children came third in the Borough Sports Event also held today – well done to all those who took part!
And hot off the press….we were able to celebrate in assembly the news that those pupils that took the Lamda exams a few weeks ago all passed with Distinction – truly impressive!
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for supporting your children and the school, so all these opportunities for our pupils to shine, can happen!
