Children in Form 6 were lucky enough to participate in a workshop yesterday with Author, Michael De Souza and Artist, Drew Sinclair. The children were tasked with thinking about the word ‘Irie’- meaning feeling happy.
The workshop included pupils first drawing pictures followed by writing rhymes influenced by their drawings and feelings of happiness. The children then were able to perform their rhymes to Michael and Drew. Their session ended by learning a song from Zimbabwe about loving Mother Nature. The children were also very lucky to receive a signed copy of Rastamouse and the Crucial Plan for their classrooms. Thank you to Michael and Drew for such a fun and inspiring morning.
