We are absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news! St. Michael’s has been awarded the School Games Mark from a study conducted by Sheffield Hallam University contracted by Youth Sports Trust, for the fourth year running! We achieved a clean sweep of Gold scores across the board for our exceptional sports programmes, commitment to accessibility, and diverse competitive opportunities. The criteria were tough, but we absolutely excelled!

Under a glorious sun, our tag rugby team triumphed at Woodlands School, defeating eight of the East Region’s top teams. An undefeated run led them to a thrilling final against the reigning champions, Ursuline, where they clinched victory. Miss Fox praised their exceptional teamwork, saying, ‘I use the slogan teamwork makes the dreamwork with the students and they certainly played superbly as a team to secure victory, I’m very proud of our small but mighty school and the hardwork the students put into sport.’

The accolades keep on coming for the sports teams here at St M’s – well done!!

Six of our pupils triumphed at today’s borough Panathlon competition, showcasing remarkable skill and teamwork across various events. They returned as champions, bringing home medals, a trophy, and a certificate to show their friends.

Miss Fox, Head of PE, expressed immense pride in the consistently high sporting standards our pupils display in sports across the board, acknowledging the School Sports partnership for enabling theese opportunities.
