Year 5’s trip to Othona last week had them working with a compass and making a fire from scratch. They gathered kindling and used cotton wool and a flint stick to get the fire going. Pupils then boiled nettle leaves and ate them once they had cooled down. Apparently, they taste like a cross between spinach and cucumber and have more six times more vitamin C than in oranges or lemons! Let’s get boiling ☕
