Hot off the press, the Year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby team made it through to the semi-finals of the Southend borough play-offs today, the first time in the competition’s history. Miss Fox and her PE team were immensely proud of how the team played. True teamwork in every sense of the word. Onwards and upwards!!

To all our wonderful parents, yet again you came up trumps and showed your generosity. Miss Archer handed over your Harvest Festival donations to the Leigh-on-Sea Tin Team working in partnership with HARP to help local families in need.

Thank you!

And we must not forget the October Mr & Mrs Mobbs’ Pupil Birthday Breakfast – always a great success and enjoyed by all!

Peggy (Yr6) took part in the United Nations of Ju Jitsu 27th World Congress and Championships in Belgium yesterday and secured not one, but two bronze medals for team GB! She did an absolutely fantastic job and should be mightily proud of her achievement as much as we all are. Peggy will tell us more in this half-term’s newsletter.

A superb achievement Peggy, well done!! 🏆

In the land of creativity, the Prep pupils started new art projects this week. Pictured are Yr 4 in action using handmade nature brushes. Yr 5 are studying the amazing sculpture ‘Master of The Universe’ by Eduardo Paolozzi, and Yr 6 are creating portraits of famous people who are Neurodiverse. Mrs Hankey is excited to see how the projects will develop this term.

Today saw our first assembly dedicated purely to awards. With so many children achieving extra-curricular success in music and sport etc., it is only fitting to celebrate with them in an assembly just for that purpose and alongside the School’s awards recognising pupils’ achievements in school too.

Finally, as another Open Week comes to a close and with a great number of tours completed, we would like to say a big thank you to our Head Boy Michael and Head Girl Zia. They did a fantastic job showing new parents around the school; you did yourselves proud.

Have a lovely weekend!
