Book Week at St M’s has started with a bang. Children had the challenge of identifying the Masked Readers, transforming their classroom doors to resemble a favourite book cover, guessing the mystery book and designing a cover, and finally(!!) spending time with the fabulous author Tamsyn Murray! She visited each year group to either read to them or help with their creative writing.

We’re looking forward to the week ahead!

Another heart-warming informal concert this week. Pupils in Year 4 demonstrated their instrumental skills to an audience of parents and peers. To see them beam with pride and confidence once they had performed their piece, is always such a great moment. ☺️

1S have been working hard on their sewing skills creating their own Peter Rabbit bags for him to keep his carrots in. Today the pupils proudly walked the catwalk in front of their parents to show off their designs and great work.

Thanks to our RAD-trained dance teacher Miss Cook, pupils who learn everything from ballet to musical theatre with her, performed at the Towngate Theatre at the weekend. Alongside her Dance Avenue troupe, the pupils performed their routines and enjoyed the applause from the audience and the camaraderie between themselves.

A great experience for everyone and a huge thank you to Miss Cook for organising and including St M’s in her production. We look forward to the next one!
